CONCLUSIONS,
DEDUCTIONS & COMMENTARIES
Nothing
has happended on earth since Sri Rama or Krishna, like the advent of Sri Sathya
Sai Baba
Let
us review Sai Baba's own words:
QUOTES
TAKEN FROM: "The Uniqueness of Swami and His Teachings" by Dr. A.
Adivi Reddy, Sri Sathya Sai Baba Books and Publications Trust - 1995
Sai Baba speaks to an assembly of young
students assembled in "Sai-Shruti", the abode of Bhagavan Baba in Kodaikkanal. Swami said:
"You should know that Swami is
Sriman Narayana come down to earth in human form. He is Purna-Avatar, as in the cases of Sri Rama and Sri Krishna. The
other great spiritual Masters who walked on the earth from time to time, were
manifestations of the Divine Power -- not Divinity in its entirety".
"Christ was sent by Jehova as the Messenger, Bhagavan Baba
is not the Messenger, He is the Original. "
Sai
Baba to an Italian cardiologist who participated in a conference of
cardiologists from all over the world that took place in Prasanthi Nilayam,
and who insisted that Baba was the second coming of Christ.
Buddha,
Christ, Mohammed and others were not Avathars. They had some divine power. Only
in India are Avathars born, because only in India are the Sastras
understood." Conversations
with Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba by J. S. Hislop Pg 153
At
first glance this presents no controversy. The ones who would be more
affected would be the Cristians, because Mohamad is considered a prophet and
Buddah the enlightened one. The Jews are still waiting for their Messiah, while all
the others in the scriptures were prophets and chosen men of God, not divine
incarnations.
What
this negates totally, of course, is the Christian Holy Trinity affirming
that the SON is the messanger of the FATHER and not one and the same.
Christians
might want to take a look at 1 John 2: 18-27
The
Hindus can identify easily with some of Baba's teachings, which fit into their
own culture, what is really amazing is the ease with which Christians,
Jews, Moslems whose Koran says "Serve Allah and shun false gods"
(Sûrah XVI, 36) and members of other religions have accepted Sai Baba as God on Earth.
Another
interesting assertion by Sai Baba:
"Sai is not conditioned by time,
place or circumstance. What I will must take place; and what I plan must
succeed. I am Truth; and Truth has no need to hesitate, fear or bend".
In
the words of Dr. Reddy, to conclude his
acknowledgements"
....I wish to conclude this ritual of "Acknowledgements" with
the spiritual note that the ultimate truth is that all the roles ostensibly
performed by all of us are are really played by Swami Himself ---
who has assumed all forms and names (Sarvaroopadharam. Sarva Namadharam); who
is in fact "everything, everywhere, ever"; who is the
Sarvaantharyaami (inner motivator of all beings), and who is the sole
repository of all Jnana Sakthi (power and knowledge of wisdom), all the Ichcha
Sakthi (power of will or determination) and all the Kriya Sakthi (power of
action) which operates through all beings in the universe. The recognition of
this fact is the true meaning of dedicating to His Lotus Feet not merely this
book but also all things, thoghts, feelings, words and deeeds which we
flasely claim as ours. This indeed is the supreme acknowledgement!
After reading this loving surrender of a
pure being, we are forced to ask ourselves if it is possible to surrender as
totally as we have just heard to a formless God or if it is necessary to have
the charismatic figure of an incarnation or supposed incarnation in order to
do it.
Has
it been man's inherent love of God that has turned Sai Baba in a Divinity,
supported by Sai Baba's increasing declarations over the years.
Why
is it that at this moment in time there is an increasing number of
disbelievers that are defecting from this cult?
Let
us reflect upon some other pearls of wisdom of the the alleged Avatar about
himself, found in the same book
"The
best way to please Me is to see Me in all beings and serve them just as you
would like to serve Me. That is the best form of worship, which will reach
me."
Only
God could say something like that..
"Baba condemns
fanatism",
says Dr. Reddy in
the book "The Uniqueness of Swami and His Teachings", stating Sai
Baba's own words:
"You cannot insist that in the
Bhajans, only songs on Sathya Sai should be sung. Fanatism of that kind I very
much dislike and condemn.....
An obvious expresion of humility and
openness...but
then he continues:
"...For
all names and all forms denote Me only! You betray your ignorance of My truth
(Note: let us assume that this means "You betray
your knowledge of my truth" or "you display your ignorance of my
truth") when
you stick to any of My names and avoid the rest."
What
follows should wipe away all doubts from those children and young men who
believe they had sexual experiences with Sai Baba.
Exemplary
Behaviour:
"I
am an example and an inspiration, whatever I do or omit to do. My life is a
commentary on My Message". For example, you must have noticed
that I never call a woman alone for the 'interview'. I call women only in
groups of ten or fifteen. I want that you you should note this, and infer that
one has to be extremely cautious in dealing with the other sex; for, though I
am above and beyond Gunas, since this body is masculine, I want to teach both
men and women how they have to regulate their social behaviour and be above
the slightest tinge of suspicion, or of small talk"

“Every
day, the mail brings Me thousands of letters, and you hand over to Me,
personally hundreds more. Yet, I do not take the help of anyone else, even to
open the envelopes. For, you write to Me intimate details of your personal
problems, believing that I alone will read them and having implicit confidence
in Me. You write each one only a single letter; that makes for me a huge
bundle a day; and I have to go through all of them. You may ask, how I manage
it? I do no waste a single moment. And, all this I do, not for personal gain,
but, only because I have come for your sake. I never seek another's help; I
offer help, never receive it. My hand always gives; it never takes."
However,
students speak about the "Intuition Children" who are allowed to
open letters that have been handed to Swami and even keep any offering that
comes inside as long as it doesn't exceed the amount of 5,000 rupies. (
See Article VII)
Swami emphasizes this one more time:
“Fills
every
moment with beneficial activity:
"I
am showing you by My example how you must fill every moment with useful,
beneficial activities. You talk among yourselves, "O Swami is having his
rest hour; Swami is sleeping". But I have never craved for a minutes's
rest or sleep or relief. Shall I tell you at what time I feel restful,
relieved, content? When I know that you are all earning supreme bliss through
detachment and spiritual discipline, not until then. I am ever angaged in some
activity or other for your benefit. Things that I could get done, I do not
entrust to others; I do them Myself, so that they may learn self -reliance and
get experience thereby. I have always your progress, your comfort, your
happiness in mind, You can note it in the slightest act of mine. I do all work
pertaining to Me. I open all letters addressed to me and they are
legion."

GOD
IS HERE
“I am the embodiment of truth.
This is the first time in history that mankind has had the chance of being
with me in this number.
In the Dwarka age and former ages, the rishis would meditate for years, and
yet your chance is much greater than theirs. The moment you come into my
presence, all your sins are forgiven. I can give you full self-realization and
take you back to the eternal limitless god-consciousness.
"Do
not try to compare my power with those petty powers of magicians. My power is
divine and has no limit. I have the power to change the earth into the sky and
the sky into the earth. But I don't because there is no reason to do it. If
all the fourteen worlds and planes (Indian scripture for half the domains in
existence) tried to join up against me, they could not make a dent in trying
to thwart my mission. If all the twenty-eight worlds and planes were to try to
join in opposition to me, they could not do a thing. I am beyond any obstacle,
and there is no force, natural or supernatural, that can stop me or my
mission. Do not lose this chance, it is more important that you will ever
realize. Do not forfeit the chance to be in my presence."
From the Shanti
Vedica, at the end of the November 23rd (1970)
Birthday Festival, Baba declared his divine mystery in a wilderness
of proclamation, as his voice thundered across the compound
and into the neighboring hills (Kasturi later transltated it )
Avatar of Night. Special Millenial Edition by Tal Brooke Pg 217
What
is most amazing is how millions around the world have accepted this and are
totally convinced that God has incarnated in India and how businessmen,
scientists, scholars and government officials from all over have opened
themselves to it and defend it as truth.
